Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient clinic infusion License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) Must-Have: Chemo certification required Description: Seeks a Registered Nurse for an outpatient clinic infusion role. The position requires working five 8-hour shifts from 07:30 to 16:00. No weekends or holidays will be required. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in outpatient clinic infusion. The clinic serves adult and geriatric patient populations. Patient diagnoses include GU cancer (kidney, bladder, prostate, testicular), hematological conditions (lymphoma, multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia), and sarcoma. The nurse will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and managing patient care. Patients will have a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6-7 during each shift. Candidates must be familiar with the EPIC documentation system. Training and support from interdisciplinary teams will be available. The environment encourages collaboration with various healthcare professionals. Nurses will be expected to educate and support patients and their families. Specific skills required include accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and managing acute tumor lysis syndrome. Additional competencies include recognizing abnormal lab values and patient monitoring. Completion of credentialing requirements is necessary prior to starting. References from previous employers will be required. Candidates should have their nursing education from an accredited program. Travel experience is preferred but not required.
