Monitors staff deficiencies and assures that all IRF-PAI data elements are completed. Completes physician and staff deficiency checklist. Performs final check of medical records before designating records complete. Abstracts discharge date for PATCOM system for all discharged inpatients. Accurately completes data entry of all PATCOM HIMS data. Monitors and corrects errors on daily exception reports. Qualifications Registered Health Information (RHIT) preferred High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Graduate of accredited college or university. Medical Record Technology College or vocational school preferred. Minimum three years of hospital HIMS experience preferred in lieu of certification. Knowledge of medical terminology required. One year data entry experience preferred.
