Software Engineer I
Whoop, Inc
Responsibilities Build and ship defined portions of member-facing features from designs and requirements through production.
Prototype, iterate on, and ship features using AI-assisted development workflows with guidance and code review.
Develop performant, responsive, mobile-first web applications with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS.
Test code against core user journeys, participate in code reviews, and apply feedback.
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to understand product and UX decisions.
Learn and apply frontend architecture, performance, accessibility, and maintainability practices.
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and escalate issues when needed. Requirements 0 to 2 years of professional frontend or full-stack software development experience, including internships or co-ops.
Solid fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience building web applications with React through work, internships, coursework, or personal projects; Next.js and Tailwind CSS experience is a plus.
Experience shipping user-facing work such as a product feature, internship project, or personal app.
Familiarity with responsive, mobile-first interfaces and integrating frontend code with RESTful APIs.
Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and self-directed research skills.
Interest in learning to work across the software stack and in fast-paced, iterative environments. Benefits The role is full-time and based in the WHOOP office in Boston, MA; relocation may be required.
