Production Supervisor - Night Shift

Location : On-Site at our Hugoton, Kansas, plant Shift : Night Why this role matters In your first year, you will lead the night shift production team to meet and exceed safety, quality, and efficiency targets. This role is essential to keeping our plant running smoothly, ensuring every product meets Flora Food Group’s high standards for better food. You will directly influence how our ingredients and processes come together to deliver reliable, nutritious food to kitchens everywhere. Your leadership will help build a culture of continuous improvement that supports our long-term commitment to sustainable and responsible food production. What you'll do Plan and manage daily allocation of equipment, personnel, and materials to meet production goals safely and efficiently. Lead and develop hourly union employees through hiring support, training, coaching, and performance management. Champion Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards, ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance. Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Planning teams to resolve issues and achieve plant objectives. Performance You will own the night shift’s operational success, delivering on production targets while maintaining strict safety and quality compliance. Your data-driven approach will identify issues early and implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce waste. By fostering a high-performing team, you will contribute to the plant’s overall reliability and output, supporting Flora Food Group’s mission to make better food every day. Care This role reports to the Plant Manager and leads a team of hourly union employees on the night shift. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Planning to ensure smooth operations. Your leadership will promote a positive, inclusive culture that values safety, respect, and long-term sustainability. You will uphold the Collective Bargaining Agreement while maintaining strong labor relations and accountability. About you You have experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment, ideally within food production or consumer packaged goods. You are skilled at managing unionized workforces and navigating complex operational challenges. Your strong communication and organizational skills help you build collaborative relationships across departments. You are comfortable analyzing root causes and implementing sustainable solutions that improve performance. You create an inclusive workplace culture where safety and respect are priorities.
