Image Scientist Part-Time

What You Will Do Work part‑time, 16 hours a week on a schedule that meets program/project and management needs. Develop and maintain EO/IR (Electro‑Optical/Infrared) remote sensing systems. Support the full product development lifecycle. Develop new functionality and optimize current imaging capabilities. Drive project direction and completion within budget and on schedule. Develop algorithms in MATLAB or ENVI/IDL. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of prior work experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience, unless prohibited by law. 2+ years of image science or related work experience. Experience with DoD EO sensors. Experience with a prototyping language such as MATLAB, ENVI/IDL. Active U.S. Secret security clearance required after day 1. Qualifications We Prefer Degree in Image Science, Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related major. Experience with image processing chains. Experience with geo‑accuracy. Experience with Earth remote sensing from satellite or airborne platforms. Clearance Information This position requires a security clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) handles the security clearance process.
