Image Scientist Part-Time

Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued DoD Secret Clearance, active and existing after day 1. What You Will Do: Work Part-time (16 hours per week) on a schedule that meets program/project & management needs. Develop and maintain EO/IR remote sensing systems, supporting the full product development lifecycle. Develop new functionality and optimize current imaging capabilities. Drive project direction and completion within budget and on schedule. Develop algorithms in MATLAB or ENVI/IDL. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics). 5+ years of prior work experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience (unless prohibited by local laws/regulations). 2+ years experience in Image science or related work. Experience with Department of Defense Electro-Optical (EO) sensors. Experience with a prototyping language such as MATLAB, ENVI/IDL, or similar. U.S. citizenship required. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required after day 1. Qualifications We Prefer: Degree in Image Science, Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related major. Experience with image processing chains. Experience with geo‑accuracy. Experience with Earth remote sensing from satellite or airborne platforms. Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
