Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Permanent RN license required Certifications: BCLS, CPI Must-Have: Experience in high acuity neuropsych populations preferred Willingness to float to various patient age groups Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in behavioral health for an adolescent neuropsychiatry unit. The unit serves a high acuity population requiring specialized nursing care. Applicants should have experience with neuropsych patients. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to adolescents with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and cognitive disorders. The typical patient ratio is 6 patients per nurse during night shifts. Special skills required include working with verbal and non-verbal patients and tending to incontinent patients. The typical length of stay for patients can range from 2 weeks to 2 years. RNs may be required to serve as charge nurses during shifts without additional compensation. Floating to any age population may be required based on scheduling needs. Candidates must pass a drug screen to be considered for employment. All submissions must include a valid permanent RN license. Compliance with additional requirements is necessary to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
