About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Mid and Night Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 Years Preferred License: Permanent RN License Required Certifications: BCLS, CPI Must-Have: Experience with a neuropsych population is preferred. RNs may be required to work as the charge RN during a shift, with no additional pay for charge responsibilities. Description: This position involves working on a high acuity adolescent neuropsych unit. The unit treats a diverse range of patient diagnoses, including developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and cognitive disorders. The typical length of stay for patients ranges from 2 weeks to 2 years. Nurses will work with verbal and non-verbal patients and may care for incontinent patients. All travelers are expected to float to any age population when scheduling requires. The facility has a strict policy against accepting medical marijuana cards. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen on the first attempt. The position requires weekend coverage every other weekend. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 6 patients per nurse. This role involves interdisciplinary support and collaboration with various healthcare professionals. RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with the initial profile. Further RTO requests after submission must be discussed with the facility and are not guaranteed. Candidates must have their permanent RN license in hand at the time of application.
