GIS Coordination Support Specialist

Overview Support specialist needed to assist GIS Coordination Program Manager in implementation of Geographic Information Coordinating Council (GICC) initiatives including administrative support for 6 subcommittees and technical support for working groups. This position works closely with the GIS Coordination Program Manager to assist in planning, developing, and evaluating Council policies, strategies, and initiatives. The Coordination Support Specialist must possess excellent written communication skills in order to write charters, technical reports, updates, minutes, framework dataset schemas, and website designs. The Coordination Support Specialist will research technical solutions, create and update geospatial datasets, and create online content including applications and websites. This position compiles data from multiple sources, automates data edits using scripting or automation tools, and quality checks data for publication. This position must have a strong understanding of ArcGIS Pro as well as ArcGIS Online tools including Experience Builder, StoryMaps, Survey123, and other applications to create online content needed by working groups and committees. This position must be able to communicate with working group members to document application or website needs, research solutions to implementation, and report options to the working group. Responsibilities Assist the GIS Coordination Program Manager with implementation of GICC initiatives. Provide administrative support for 6 subcommittees and technical support for working groups. Use ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online tools (including Experience Builder, StoryMaps, Survey123) to create content for working groups and committees. Communicate with working group members to document application or website needs, research implementation solutions, and report options. Qualifications Strong written communication skills for producing charters, technical reports, updates, minutes, and website designs. Experience with geospatial data creation and updates; ability to compile data from multiple sources. Proficiency with scripting or automation tools to automate data edits and quality-check data for publication. Strong understanding of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online tools, including Experience Builder, StoryMaps, and Survey123.
