Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with CA state license and 1+ year experience for an oncology center's Radiation Oncology department.

Details

• Work in an Oncology Center's Radiation Oncology department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Caseload of 25 patients per day per tech
• No floating between units required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Varian 21 EX/iX equipment
• Uses EPIC for charting, preferred experience
• ARIA skillset required

Requirements

• Active CA state license required if applicable
• Current BLS and ARRT certifications, including ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Experience with treatment planning systems such as Pinnacle or Eclipse
• Skilled in pretreatment procedures including custom molds, shields, and tumor localization
• Experience with External Beam Therapy and IMRT
• Ability to calculate radiation dosing and perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
• Age-specific competency across young, middle, and older adult populations

Additional Information

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments including custom molds, shields, and beam modifying/positioning
• Perform tumor localization and portal cast procedures
• Scrubs provided and parking is facility paid
• Accepts local candidates within 50 miles at a lower bill rate
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Must be able to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during consideration; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Open to first-time travelers with required experience
