Production Supervisor

Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Production Supervisor for our plant in Carlisle, PA. This individual will be responsible for the management of Plant 4 manufacturing process. The Production Supervisor will demonstrate leadership on shift to accomplish training objectives, meet production schedules in a high quality, safe manner, facilitates problem solving and decision making.Schedule:Rotating Shift: 7:00a.m – 3:30p.m.; 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Rotates each week. Job Responsibilities:Provide leadership and direction to shift personnel in order to meet the production requirements.Review inventory and production levels to make recommendations and adjustments to maintain efficient balance.Fill in for other Production Supervisors when required, due to vacation, off-site meetings and absenteeism.Uniformly enforces and applies company policies and procedures to maintain fair and consistent work practices.Provides honest, objective and specific feedback to crew leaders and production team members so they clearly understand improvement opportunities.Serves as facilitator, when needed, to maintain the group's focus and provide the necessary resources.Ensures that published processing specifications (SOPs) and quality control tests are not only followed but recommendations for improvement are vetted and implemented when appropriate.Monitors defect and downtime causes and provides feedback and recommendations to the Value Stream Managers so sustainable corrective actions can be implemented.Provides clear, consistent direction relative to maintaining and enhancing a safe work environment for all employees, visitors and contractors.Ensures incident reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner, and that the information is posted to the designated electronic database and shared across all shifts and, when appropriate, all operations.Leads and conducts EH&S Awareness and Authorized Safety Trainings in a timely manner according to prescribed schedule.Utilizes lean manufacturing tools to identify and drive continuous improvement.Coordinates gathering and dissemination of information for production team with other functional groups such as Production Scheduling, Shipping, R & D, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Human Resources.Partner with shift maintenance team to understand downtime related maintenance requirements and help prioritize urgently needed production equipment repair.Job DetailsJob Type: Full-timeCategory: ManufacturingSalaried: Salaried
