About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Providence, Rhode Island, 02910!

• Start Date: August 10, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and care for adult Med/Surg telemetry patients.
• Assess patients and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and IV therapy.
• Start and maintain IV lines.
• Document patient care in Meditech .
• Use Omnicell medication dispensing system.
• Communicate using SBAR .
• Float to other units as needed.
• Work every other weekend.
• Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response teams.

• First-time travelers accepted
• RI RN license or Compact license (pending RI license accepted, but must be active before start)
• BLS & ACLS required
• Experience with:
  • Telemetry
  • IV therapy
  • Starting and maintaining IVs
