Position Summary

We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing Recruitment Manager to serve as a key leader on our New York team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will combine hands-on 360-degree agency recruiting and business development expertise with direct team management, overseeing and scaling a team of junior agency recruiters.

Note: This is a third-party agency leadership role, not an internal corporate HR/TA function. You will drive end-to-end commercial recruitment strategies, manage and expand client accounts, and ensure high desk yield across your team. You will lead by example through strategic candidate delivery and client account development while coaching, mentoring, and driving the daily performance and revenue yield of your team within the specialized Microsoft Cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership, Coaching & Performance

• Direct Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage a group of junior agency recruiters, setting clear revenue/billing targets, delivery goals, daily sourcing expectations, and activity KPIs.
• Coaching & Professional Development: Provide hands-on training, desk-side coaching, call shadowing, and structured guidance on cold outreach, candidate control, interview techniques, headhunting, and client presentation.
• Workflow & Yield Optimization: Audit and refine team recruiting workflows, pipeline management, and ATS/CRM utilization to maximize speed-to-fill, candidate quality, and overall team profitability.
• Team Hiring & Onboarding: Partner with agency leadership to interview, onboard, and integrate new recruitment consultants as your team expands.

360° Agency Sourcing & Account Delivery

• Full-Desk Ownership: Maintain a active personal billing desk, taking ownership of key client accounts and high-priority, complex candidate searches within the Microsoft Cloud space (Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform).
• Strategic Candidate Sourcing: Design and execute advanced sourcing strategies to build deep talent pipelines for hard-to-find, highly passive technical professionals.
• Client & Commercial Engagement: Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers, VPs, and C-suite tech decision-makers, understanding technical requirements, negotiating fee agreements, setting recruitment timelines, and presenting qualified talent.

Performance, Operations & Business Growth

• Revenue & Yield Responsibility: Drive total team production, ensuring both your personal billing desk and team delivery targets are consistently hit and exceeded.
• Market Advisory: Leverage deep market intelligence on tech hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent supply to consult clients and guide your team’s delivery strategy.

Qualifications

• Agency Experience: 4–7+ years of 360-degree agency recruitment experience within a third-party staffing firm or recruitment consultancy environment, with a strong track record in technology staffing.
• Leadership Experience: 1–3+ years of direct experience leading, managing, or mentoring junior-to-mid-level recruiters, with proven success in driving team performance and accountability.
• Full-Desk & BD Mastery: Deep understanding of the complete agency recruitment lifecycle, including outbound business development, account management, headhunting, offer negotiation, and candidate closing.
• Tech Sector Knowledge: Strong familiarity with IT/cloud recruiting (experience in Microsoft Cloud, Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform, or enterprise software ecosystems is a major advantage).
• Commercial Acumen: Strong operational and numerical capability—able to analyze desk metrics, optimize team capacity, and cultivate a collaborative, high-performance agency culture.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent high-level recruiting leadership experience.
