CNA Supervisor

As a CNA Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring individual care and active treatment are appropriate and provided in a clean, safe, and secure environment, in accordance with Federal, State, DHS, CWC, and unit policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: supervising care and treatment plans. providing therapeutic activities for individuals and nursing care as directed by licensed practitioners. participating in the development of treatment plans, programs, unit rules, policies and procedures. supervising, mentoring, and evaluating assigned CNAs and coordinating direct care staff schedules and duties. Salary Information The starting salary is between $36.37 and $37.50 per hour (approximately between $75,600 and $78,000 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. These positions are classified as a Resident Care Supervisors and in pay schedule and range 81/04. All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date. DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have both of the following: Experience implementing new treatments and providing continual active treatments, care, safety or monitoring programs for residents or clients in a 24/7 healthcare facility. Experience providing guidance or training to other staff. Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following: Leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare facility (e.g., evaluating performance, resolving conflict, assigning work, scheduling, hiring, coaching, etc.).
