Locum Tenens CRNA Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,870–$7,240
• Assignment: Initial 13-week locum tenens opportunity with potential for ongoing work
• Location: Syracuse, New York
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Call: No call required
• Clinical Areas: Operating rooms, endoscopy, cardiac lab, and ambulatory surgery
• Patient Population: Patients age 16 and older, including adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Supervision: Physician supervision with an approximate 1:4 ratio, and 1:2 for cardiac cases
• Technology: Epic electronic medical record
• Blocks: Block scheduling is not required

CRNA Job Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist credential through NBCRNA
• Active New York State CRNA license
• At least 1 year of CRNA experience
• Ability to practice independently within a supervised anesthesia care model
• Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-safety skills

CRNA Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general anesthesia care for a diverse surgical and procedural patient population
• Evaluate patients before procedures and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer and manage anesthesia while monitoring patient response throughout procedures
• Support anesthesia services for operating room, endoscopy, cardiac, and ambulatory surgery cases
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and manage anesthesia-related complications
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, registered nurses, scrub technicians, circulators, and anesthesia technicians
• Complete accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Promote a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient-care experience
