This is a hands-on leadership position focused on developing talent, strengthening customer partnerships, and achieving business results.The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader who enjoys mentoring others, building relationships, and creating winning sales strategies in a fast-paced environment.What You'll DoLead and Develop a High-Performing TeamCoach, mentor, and develop a team of Residential Sales Consultants and Trade Sales Consultants to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.Spend more than 50% of your time in the field observing, training, and reinforcing effective selling behaviors.Recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing sales professionals.Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.Drive Market GrowthIncrease market share through strategic business development and relationship-building efforts.Support sales consultants in identifying and converting new customer opportunities.Strengthen partnerships with builders, remodelers, contractors, architects, and industry professionals.Represent Pella at trade events, association meetings, builder shows, and networking opportunities.Deliver Exceptional Customer ExperiencesFoster a culture focused on achieving outstanding customer satisfaction.Help sales consultants navigate customer challenges and resolve escalated concerns.Ensure accurate quoting, ordering, and adherence to established sales processes.Collaborate with Operations, Service, and Finance teams to ensure successful project execution.Achieve Business ObjectivesDrive revenue, profitability, and contribution margin goals.Support budget planning, forecasting, and business strategy initiatives.Monitor performance metrics and communicate progress to leadership.Coach team members on value-based selling, strategic pricing, and error reduction.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.3-5+ years of sales leadership, sales management, or related experience.Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales professionals.Strong business development and relationship-building skills.Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.Preferred QualificationsExperience in construction, building products, windows and doors, home improvement, or related industries.Experience working with builders, contractors, architects, or other trade professionals.Consultative and solution-based selling experience.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.Key Skills and CompetenciesLeadership and team developmentCoaching and performance managementConsultative sales and negotiationBusiness development and networkingCustomer relationship managementProblem solving and decision-makingStrategic planning and executionCommunication and presentation skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systemsPhysical Requirements & TravelRegular local travel throughout the Portland metro area and surrounding markets.Ability to visit customer locations, construction sites, showrooms, and company events.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally using proper lifting techniques.Why Join Pella?At Pella, you'll have the opportunity to lead a talented team, build meaningful customer relationships, and contribute to a company known for quality, innovation, and exceptional service.
