Application Support Technician

Position Title: Application Support Technician Location: New York, NY Pay: $30/hour Shift Schedule (Nights) Thursday: 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM Friday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM Saturday: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM Position Description: Join our dynamic team as an Application Support Technician, providing critical on-site support within the NYC 911 Communications Center in The Bronx. This contract role ensures the smooth operation of Hexagon/Intergraph Public Safety 911 systems, serving as the first point of contact for 911 operators and communications personnel. You will deliver dedicated technical assistance, coordinate with support teams, and help maintain vital emergency communication systems to ensure public safety. The position offers an engaging night shift schedule with the opportunity for overtime and potential extension through August 2026. Key Responsibilities Provide immediate technical support to 911 communication staff utilizing Hexagon 911 software. Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues at the customer site. Collaborate with internal support teams to elevate and resolve complex user issues. Participate in shift rotations, including nights, with possible overtime. Receive comprehensive training on Hexagon 911 systems to ensure effective support. Top Requirements Proven experience supporting end users of IT systems face-to-face. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a favorable background check clearance. Dependability and punctuality, with a reasonable commute (preferably within 30 minutes) to the job site (verify commute time via Google Maps before applying). Previous experience with public safety solutions or call center IT support is a plus.
