Job Title: Master Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of mechanical systems and production equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical components, conveyors, and other machinery. This role focuses on keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently through both corrective and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical components, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
• Inspect equipment regularly to ensure safe operation and compliance with company safety standards.
• Repair or replace defective parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications and established procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records for all assigned equipment.
• Work closely with production personnel to quickly resolve mechanical issues and support continuous operations.
• Order parts and materials as needed while maintaining cost efficiency and adherence to budget guidelines.
• Recommend equipment improvements, upgrades, and preventative maintenance solutions to enhance reliability and performance.
• Respond quickly to unexpected equipment failures to minimize production downtime and support production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support maintenance and production operations.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or maintenance technician working with mechanical and production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and conveyor systems.
• Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Ability to repair and replace mechanical and electrical components according to manufacturer specifications.
• Proficiency using hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to inspect equipment and identify potential safety or performance issues.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records.
• Ability to collaborate with production personnel to resolve equipment issues quickly.
• Capability to respond promptly to equipment failures and work under time pressure to minimize downtime.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and conveyor systems in a production environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturer manuals, specifications, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to recommend equipment improvements and upgrades based on observed performance and reliability.
• Basic understanding of cost efficiency when ordering parts and materials.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and priorities.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as needed to support maintenance and operations.

Work Environment
This role follows 12-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. You should be comfortable working some weekends during the peak season from October through February. The position is based in a production environment where safety standards are strictly followed and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided. The work involves hands-on tasks with mechanical and electrical systems, use of hand tools, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $93600.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
