A Little Bit About FCS Since 1984, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) has built a national reputation for excellence. With over 250 physicians, 220 nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and nearly 100 locations, we utilize innovative clinical research, cutting-edge technologies, and advanced treatments to provide world-class cancer care. We are recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award. Our patients have access to groundbreaking therapies and participate in clinical research studies of new drugs and treatment protocols. Through our partnership with Sarah Cannon, we are one of the largest clinical research organizations in the U.S. Responsibilities Monitor and collect the financial responsibilities of patients. Keep patients’ insurance benefits up to date in OncoEMR and Centricity, and review services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness. Perform daily tasks of Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigation. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinical setting or business office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology, managed care authorization, ICD10 codes, and collection processes. Ability to calculate and collect patient responsibilities and insurance co-pays/coinsurance. Screenings Background, drug, and nicotine screens are required. All offers are contingent upon clear screening results. Vaccinations, including influenza, are required unless exempted. FCS is a drug-free workplace; drug/nicotine testing is mandatory.
