IT Asset Support Technician

Responsibilities Provide inventory support to directorates for approximately 9,000 items within DPAS Ensure all accountable IT items are accepted on another EC account prior to release (approximately 3–6 times daily) Dispose of all packing and waste material in accordance with applicable guidance (approximately 4–6 pallets per month) Dispose of all hardware and software products using processes and checklists that comply with applicable Government policies Conduct an annual 100% inventory and a monthly inventory of 10% of all trackable assets in accordance with applicable policies and laws Account for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) provided to the workforce in accordance with the inventory reporting requirements described herein Ensure proper accountability for all GFE transitioning within the IT support areas of operation Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field Current CompTIA Security+ (Security Plus) certification (or higher-level DoD 8570/8140-compliant baseline certification in the Information Assurance Technician category) Active Secret security clearance required Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment with changing priorities Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
