Charge Nurse (RN) Med/Surg

Position Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical. $20,000 sign‑on bonus available for qualified applicants. Schedule 3x12 hour shifts one week, and 3x12 hour shifts the next week, Day (7a – 7p), rotating weekends. Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients. Establish a plan of care appropriate to identified problems; involve the patient according to capabilities and desires. Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts. Determine staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, abilities, census, patient acuity and workflow. Provide direct patient care as needed. Float between staff to assist with problem‑solving and meet staffing needs. Evaluate effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes. Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels. Perform role‑specific duties such as entering orders, admissions, discharges, and coordinating transfers. Ensure staff has necessary equipment and supplies for safe, quality care. Qualifications Current Tennessee Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support certification required at time of hire.
