Through Maven Enterprise, the company partners with more than 2,300 employers and health plans to provide end-to-end women's and family health programs spanning fertility and family building, maternity and newborn care, parenting and pediatrics, and menopause and midlife — improving clinical outcomes, reducing healthcare costs, and expanding equitable access to high-quality care at scale. Maven has spent more than a decade changing how women and families access healthcare. Today, we serve millions of members through employers, health plans, and directly as consumers—and we’re entering a new chapter where the opportunity to build Maven’s brand as one people know, trust, and want to be part of is as significant as the opportunity ahead for our business. Reporting to the Chief of Staff in the Office of the CEO, you’ll lead communications across consumer and corporate PR, social media, executive communications, employer brand, internal communications, and external influence. You’ll shape how Maven shows up everywhere from the New York Times and Today Show to Instagram and TikTok, LinkedIn, industry conversations, and our own company meetings. You’ll turn our products, members, providers, clients, research, data, and point of view into stories that break through; create cultural moments; and build a community of advocates who help establish Maven and its leaders as defining voices in women's health. This is a strategic and deeply hands‑on role for someone with exceptional taste, instincts, judgment, and writing ability—someone who can see the story before everyone else does and knows how to make it matter. What You’ll Do Maven's global communications strategy across consumer and corporate communications, earned media, social media, executive communications, employer brand, internal communications, and external influence. A consumer and corporate earned‑media strategy that makes Maven part of the cultural conversation around women's health, fertility, pregnancy, parenting, menopause, weight and metabolic health, and the changing expectations consumers have of healthcare—building relationships across consumer, lifestyle, health, business, technology, and culture. Communications‑led moments and campaigns around Maven's products, research, partnerships, data, members, and point of view that break through, create conversation, and build brand awareness. Clinical storytelling that turns Maven's research, outcomes, proprietary data, provider expertise, and member experiences into compelling stories that build trust and differentiate Maven with consumers, employers, health plans, and the broader healthcare community. A customer, member, provider, and partner advocacy engine that identifies Maven's strongest advocates and turns their experiences into earned media, social content, events, peer conversations, case studies, and stories that build both brand and business. Maven's external influence strategy, including events and convenings, conferences, speaking opportunities, awards, and relationships with the creators, researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and institutions shaping women's health. Maven's organic social strategy, building a distinctive voice and point of view rather than simply distributing company news—and understanding how social, creators, executives, members, and earned media can work together to make ideas travel. Executive communications and thought leadership for the CEO and executive team, including speeches, media, social, opinion pieces, and major events. Maven's corporate narrative, reputation, and employer brand, ensuring we tell a clear, differentiated story about what we're building, why it matters, and what it means to build a career here. Internal communications, including company‑wide meetings, major announcements, and leadership communications that help employees understand where we're going, why, and what matters most. A high‑performing communications organization that moves quickly, has exceptional standards, listens closely to the conversations happening around Maven and women's health, and measures success by impact—not activity. What You’ll Bring You've spent 10+ years building brands and shaping narratives through communications, with leadership experience at a high-growth consumer, technology, or healthcare company—or another environment, such as a major political campaign, where you learned how to shape public conversation. You understand what makes a story travel, what journalists and consumers care about, and how brands earn attention rather than simply buy it. You have strong media relationships and a track record of generating sustained, high-impact earned coverage through ideas, trends, data, people, and cultural moments—not just announcements. You have strong consumer instincts, regardless of where you've built your career. You understand the difference between communicating with an industry and creating something ordinary people notice, care about, share, and remember. You understand modern communications beyond traditional media, with strong instincts around social, creators, influencers, podcasts, events, communities, and emerging channels. You're an exceptional storyteller and writer who can turn a complicated healthcare product, clinical study, business strategy, or cultural shift into a simple narrative people remember. You've built executives into distinctive public voices. You're comfortable challenging and advising a CEO, know when to enter a conversation and when not to, and can capture someone else's voice rather than imposing your own. You know how to create moments, not just respond to them—and understand how members, customers, providers, communities, events, and advocates can carry a brand further than corporate communications alone. You understand how to protect a brand as well as build one, with experience navigating sensitive issues and crises with excellent judgment. You're both strategic and deeply hands‑on. You can develop the strategy and then rewrite a headline, pitch a reporter, edit a CEO post, or shape an all‑hands narrative yourself. You know how to measure communications beyond impressions and press hits, connecting the work to brand awareness, consumer consideration, reputation, advocacy, talent, and business outcomes. High standards, exceptional taste, intellectual curiosity, low ego, and a bias toward action. Why This Role Women's health is having a cultural moment—but the healthcare system still hasn't caught up. Millions of women are demanding better answers about fertility, pregnancy, menopause, weight, hormones, mental health, and how their bodies change throughout their lives. At the same time, AI, new therapeutics, changing consumer expectations, and a new generation of healthcare companies are reshaping what's possible. Maven has an opportunity not only to participate in that conversation, but to help define it. We have more than a decade of experience caring for women and families, millions of members, thousands of employer and health plan customers, an extraordinary provider community, a growing body of clinical research, and a rapidly expanding consumer business. That creates an almost unlimited supply of stories worth telling. The opportunity is to turn that foundation into one of the most important and recognizable brands in women's health. You'll work directly with the CEO, Chief of Staff, Marketing, Clinical, Product, People, and the broader leadership team to determine how Maven shows up in the world—and build a communications organization capable of making Maven as culturally relevant as the problem we’re solving. This role requires active work authorization in the US. NYC strongly preferred, with regular in-person collaboration at Maven's New York headquarters and travel as needed. Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, and remotely via San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in Boston, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to attend monthly Work Together Days within these cities. This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face‑to‑face interaction. At Maven we believe that a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences enrich our teams and allow us to achieve above and beyond our goals. If you do not have experience in all of the areas detailed above, we hope that you will share your unique background with us in your application and how it can be additive to our teams. Benefits That Work For You Maven for Mavens: access to the full platform and specialists, including care for mental health, reproductive health, family planning and pediatrics. Whole‑self care through wellness partnerships Hybrid work, in office meals, and work together days 16 weeks 100% paid parental leave and new parent stipend (for Mavens who've been with us for 1 year+) Annual professional development stipend and access to a personal career coach through Maven for Mavens 401K matching for US-based employees, with immediate vesting These benefits are applicable to Maven Clinic Co., US-based, full-time employees only. 1099/Contract Providers are ineligible for these benefits.
