Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer LifeGift is looking for a Systems Engineer to provide advanced technical support, administration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure. The role manages complex issues escalated from level 1 support, oversees server and network environments, and assists with infrastructure projects, security initiatives, and system optimization. Responsibilities Serve as support for server, network, cloud, and application-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and infrastructure problems. Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers. Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies. Configure and support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V. Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability. Implement security patches, upgrades, and system maintenance activities. Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes. Assist in cloud administration (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs. Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and deployments. Mentor level‑1 support staff and provide technical guidance. Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 0–2 years of IT support, help desk, or systems administration experience. Five years’ experience preferred. Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), hardware troubleshooting, and IT security best practices. Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals Certifications. On‑Site This is an on‑site role.
