Property Management Specialist

This position is in the FSIS Office of Management's Administrative Services Division (ASD), Property Management Branch (PMB). The Property Management Branch provides overall control, utilization, disposition, and management of FSIS personal property, both in headquarters and in the field for the Food Safety and Inspection Service. Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience as defined below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience: Specialized Experience You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties which include: Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the acquisition, maintenance, utilization, disposition, accountability, or control of property or supplies. Providing guidance and advising internal and external stakeholders to resolve investigations, accidents, or incidents that involve equipment or property. Performing duties and tasks collecting information regarding stolen, damaged, or destroyed property. Experience presenting, briefing, and training information to a variety of audiences and stakeholders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
