Editorial Assistant

Chelsea Green is the leading publisher of books on the politics and practice of sustainable living, and we’re seeking an Editorial Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with the Senior Managing Editor and the wider editorial team to help manage workflow and keep our publishing program organized and running smoothly. You’ll copyedit and proofread to a high standard, review incoming submissions, handle copyright and catalog data, and coordinate the work of our Editorial Intern. Alongside that, you’ll help maintain our book and award databases, make award submission recommendations to the publisher, and support trade review submissions. This is a role that calls for a sharp editorial eye, a head for detail, and the ability to juggle priorities without losing momentum. You’ll be a great fit if you love the craft of publishing, work collaboratively with others, and want to grow in a mission-driven environment. Some publishing experience and an undergraduate degree are strongly preferred.
