Funds Attorney

Help improve advanced AI systems used for real-world legal work by applying your funds-law expertise to contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining scenarios.

Role Overview

This remote, part-time contractor role focuses on training and evaluating AI for legal contract work. You will contribute expert judgment to improve how AI identifies risk, interprets contract language, and produces precise legal outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract negotiations and contract redlining exercises.
• Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback that improves model performance and output precision.
• Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for consistent, rigorous assessment of AI contract-task performance.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years of experience in the funds department of a corporate law firm.
• Experience with fund management, fund formation, contract redlining, and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including LPAs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical ability.
• Ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Demonstrated interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
• Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.

Work Terms

• Remote, part-time contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $80 to $105 per hour.
