Job PostingEnvision Imaging is looking for a Full-Time CT Technologist to join our team! Thursday and Friday 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM + Saturday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM | Position Pay Range $35.35 - $45.57Job DescriptionThe CT Technologist performs various types of diagnostic CT examinations. Adjusts equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and cross-sectional anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density. Assists in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.Essential FunctionsInterfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.Performs exams while attending to patient's care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient's condition changes at any time.Transfers images to other locations as needed.Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.Other duties as assigned.CompetenciesTechnical CapacityEthical ConductThoroughnessTime ManagementPersonal Effectiveness/CredibilitySupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervision responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
