Job Title: Event Setup Assistant ($25/hr + High Bonuses)

Location: Various scenic locations across San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Oakland (Beaches, Parks, City Viewpoints)
Compensation: $25/hour (Shifts are typically 3 hours) + Highly Competitive Bonus Structure

About the Role: We are a luxury marriage proposal planning company looking for a reliable, energetic Event Setup Assistant. You will help us build breathtaking proposal scenes like floral arches, red carpets, and beautiful lighting at stunning locations across the Bay Area.

This is the perfect flexible gig for anyone looking for supplemental income. You will commute to the beautiful event location, help us set up, hang out while the couple gets engaged, help us pack up our work van, and head home!

The Compensation & Bonus Structure: We believe in rewarding excellence and reliability. On top of your $25/hr base rate, we offer a "Milestone & Merit" bonus system:

  • The 5-Star Bonus: Earn an extra 10% on your shift pay for every event you work that results in a 5-star client review.
  • The Consistency Streak: Earn a flat $100 bonus for every 10 consecutive shifts you complete on time with zero call-outs. (This rewards showing up to every single shift you claim without calling out or canceling!)
  • The Veteran Bonus: Hit 25 lifetime setups with us and receive a flat $250 loyalty bonus as a thank you for mastering the craft.

What You Will Do:

  • Meet on Location: Commute directly to the event site (usually within a 30 to 45-minute drive).
  • The Setup (approx. 1 Hour): Unload and set up decor alongside the setup lead/associate. You must be able to easily lift and carry 50 lbs since we use heavy sandbags to secure equipment.
  • The Event (approx. 1 Hour): Stay on-site during the proposal to ensure everything goes smoothly.
  • The Teardown (approx. 1 Hour): Quickly dismantle the setup, pack the gear back into our company van, and you are done!

What We Are Looking For:

  • Extreme Punctuality (Zero Tolerance): This is a live, once-in-a-lifetime surprise event. Being even 5 minutes late ruins the surprise. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for tardiness. If you cannot reliably arrive on time, every time, please do not apply.
  • Physical Capability: You must be comfortable repeatedly lifting 50 lb sandbags and moving quickly.
  • Availability: We have consistent weekend and weekday evening opportunities available.
  • Professionalism: You will be representing our brand during a highly emotional, luxury event. A positive, calm, and professional attitude is required.
