Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Day Shift

Essential Healthcare Solutions LLC is supporting Pinnacle Solutions & Consulting Group (PSCG).  We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care in a low-acuity outpatient clinic setting. The EMT will assist providers and nursing staff with patient intake, basic clinical procedures, emergency response support, and daily clinic operations while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake procedures including vital signs, medical history collection, and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Assist providers and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies within the clinic and initiate emergency protocols as needed.
• Provide basic life support (BLS) and emergency care within EMT scope of practice.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinic equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper infection control and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Assist with patient flow and coordinate care with clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Educate patients on basic care instructions and follow-up procedures as directed by providers.
• Support overall clinic operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification/license required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of EMT or healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in outpatient, urgent care, or clinical settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Proficient in basic computer and EMR documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Work Environment

This position operates in a low-acuity outpatient medical clinic environment in the U.S. Virgin Islands . The EMT will interact with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to support quality patient care and clinic efficiency.

Pay Rate: $21.00-$24.00
