ODS is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and also has offices/plants in Texas and North Carolina centrally located to serve clients across the country.The primary responsibilities of the Inventory Control Associate is to assist with the management of the inventory of all materials needed for the production floor. Compensation $20 - $22 Hourly DOE.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock levels (daily, monthly and yearly counts).A strong focus to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management.Assist with the reporting of nonconforming and damages of materials and any stock issuesItem lookupComplete return to stock process(RTS)Assist with destruction of client owned inventory and company materialsProficient use of computers, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Outlook)Adhere to all policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsKeep area clean and clear of clutterOther duties as requiredThe ability to identify problems related to inventory, collect data, and draw valid conclusionsThe ability to perform tasks requires physical effort, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers.Qualifications & Requirements:High School graduate, or completion of GED preferredAt least one year working in a warehouse or working with inventoryAbility to work independently and with other coworkersAbility to drive a forklift or use pallet jacks when offloading trucksAbility to read and understand packing slipsUnderstand procedures on requesting material from inventoryUnderstand procedures on filling out and issuing material to floorUnderstand procedures on returning material to inventoryMust be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Strong mathematical and analytical skills necessaryAbility to lift 50 pounds without restrictionMust be able to read, write and communicate in EnglishMust possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilitiesMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsKnowledge of inventory software and order processing systems considered a plusMust be able to work overtimeWorking Conditions:Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. In addition, requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
