Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic educational setting near Santa Monica and provide vital support to students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This is a full-time, onsite contract role running from August 13, 2026, through June 9, 2027, at a welcoming elementary school. You'll contribute to an environment where students excel by supporting their development and helping them overcome challenges in the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active COTA license in California is required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting
• Comfort and professionalism with elementary-aged children
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to diverse student needs
• Proficiency with IEP documentation and implementation
• Preparedness for a Zoom interview as part of the selection process

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and staff to deliver effective services
• Assist in developing and implementing therapy programs for students with varying abilities
• Support and monitor students’ progress toward established IEP goals
• Document sessions and maintain accurate, thorough records
• Provide direct intervention services in classroom and small group settings
• Communicate regularly with staff and families regarding student progress and strategies for success
• Participate in team meetings and contribute insight from the field
