Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

Shift: Days

Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other

Assignment Details

Floating Required: Yes, rotate through Labor and Delivery, circulator, baby RN, triage, high risk antepartum

On-Call Requirement: No

Pending License: No, must be active at time of submission

No scheduling requests can be accommodated.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 years Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP
• Flu Vaccine during flu season (no exemptions)
• First time travelers: Yes, minimum 3 years L&D RN experience
• Special Requirements: High Risk Antepartum & teaching hospital experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring and delivering patients.
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs.
• Assist with childbirth and related procedures.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth and newborn care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
