Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students of varying ages in a dynamic school environment near Joliet, IL. This full-time opportunity allows you to collaborate across two school sites, working with elementary and high school learners to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Bring your expertise as a state of Illinois licensed professional, engaging students primarily in general education and resource classroom settings, with some work in self-contained special education rooms. You’ll enjoy a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours a week, spending each school day at just one site without mid-day location changes. This role is a fantastic fit for those with pediatric or school-based experience, particularly those skilled in sensory integration, goal setting, and progress monitoring with school-aged children.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Illinois license as an Occupational Therapist
- Background in pediatrics or previous work within school settings preferred
- Skilled in sensory integration or experience implementing goals and tracking progress for children in educational contexts
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic support and interventions to students from elementary through high school
- Collaborate with classroom educators and special education teams
- Provide services in both general education/resource and self-contained classroom environments
- Use established processes to document student progress and goal attainment
- Rotate between two school locations, one per school day
