Technical Product Marketing Manager

About the role Security products live or die by whether buyers understand what they actually do and the value that they provide. Most security marketing is either too vague to be credible ("zero trust, AI-powered protection") or too technical to move a buying decision. We need someone who refuses to accept that tradeoff. As Edera's Technical Product Marketing Manager, you'll sit at the intersection of deep product knowledge and business-outcome storytelling. You'll be the person who can explain a container escape to a CISO in terms of regulatory exposure, and explain kernel isolation to a platform engineer in terms of on-call alert volume. You'll own the narrative that takes Edera from "interesting technology" to "obvious buy" for the people who matter most. This is an early-stage, high-ownership role. You won't be executing a playbook – you'll be writing one. Key Responsibilities Product Messaging & Positioning Own the intersection of deep technical product knowledge and business-outcome storytelling Develop and maintain persona-specific messaging for platform engineering teams, CISOs, AI infrastructure leaders, and cloud architects Translate complex technical differentiators (microVM isolation, Xen hypervisor, Rust-based minimal attack surface, per-zone kernels) into clear, compelling business outcomes Keep messaging current as the product evolves – especially as Edera expands into GPU and AI agent sandboxing use cases Content & Thought Leadership Create high-quality technical content: blog posts, workshops, conference talks, whitepapers, use case pages, solution briefs, and technical comparison guides Partner with Engineering and Product to produce content that earns credibility with practitioners, not just executives Build a content calendar that supports pipeline generation, community engagement, and analyst/press visibility Write and edit with a strong, direct voice that reflects Edera's personality — bold, honest, and technically sharp Sales & Field Enablement Build and maintain sales collateral: battlecards, objection handling guides, competitive positioning, demo talk tracks Run internal enablement sessions so AEs and SEs can confidently explain the technical story to any buyer persona Partner with sales on deal-specific content and proof-of-concept support for strategic accounts Go-to-Market & Launch Own product launch planning for new features and products – from messaging to announcement to field readiness Develop analyst briefing materials for executive presentations Build a community of platform engineers and security practitioners that understand the value of Edera and can be champions for us in market Market & Competitive Intelligence Maintain a current view of the competitive landscape: traditional runtime security tools, eBPF-based solutions, VM-based runtimes, and GPU isolation alternatives Synthesize customer feedback, sales data, and analyst research into actionable product and messaging recommendations Qualifications Required 5+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 2 years focused on deeply technical infrastructure, security, or developer tools Genuine technical depth in one or more of: Kubernetes, container runtimes, Linux security, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML infrastructure You're a strong communicator and educator, and you enjoy engaging with the cloud native community in a positive, helpful way A portfolio of content you can point to: technical blog posts, conference talks, demos, code examples, or documentation Proven ability to write content that lands with both technical practitioners and business decision-makers — you can show us examples Experience with security or platform engineering buyers – you understand their world, their risk vocabulary, and their buying criteria Strong GTM instincts for practitioner-led motions; you understand how technical products get discovered and adopted Startup experience and a get sh*t done attitude Strong Plus Background in or deep familiarity with the Kubernetes / CNCF ecosystem Hands-on experience with container security tools, runtime security products, or GPU infrastructure Experience marketing open source projects or developer-facing products Prior experience building a PMM function from scratch Understanding of AI agent architectures and the infrastructure security implications $200,000 - $225,000 a year Start-up vibe, big time benefits: Competitive Salary 401k Unlimited PTO Equity 100% medical coverage for you and your eligible dependents Why Edera?
