2026 Harvest Cellar Intern

Job Description:

Horse Heaven Wine Company is looking for an intern for the 2026 harvest. We are a winery located in Prosser, WA. This will be a unique opportunity to work alongside our winemaker and learn all things harvest related from grape receiving to various fermentation techniques. This position will run from August to December 2026.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and sanitation
- Grape receiving and processing
- Barrel work, including filling, emptying and topping
- Forklift operation
- Daily pumpovers and punchdown
- Chemical additions
The ideal candidate would possess the following:
- 21 years of age
- Previous harvest experience
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to work as a team or individually depending on the day
- Be reliable and punctual
- Interest in wine
- Willingness to work extended hours
- Attention to detail
- Passion for quality
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to work in an environment that can be wet, cold or warm

Work schedule will be 40 hrs/week to start. When harvest picks, hours will change to 6 x 10-hour days/week. Overtime included.
Salary range is $18 - $22/hour DOE. Overtime eligible. Harvest performance bonus eligible.
