Sr Business Operations and Acquisition Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Business Operations and Acquisition Specialist based in United States.

This part-time, on-call role supports complex U.S. Government technical programs through a combination of business operations, acquisition, facilities coordination, compliance, and resource planning. The position is designed for an experienced professional who can operate effectively in classified environments and understands the demands of technical and prototype development programs. You will help translate program needs into actionable acquisition, facilities, logistics, and resourcing activities. The role also provides critical support for audits, safety inspections, operational readiness, and SCIF compliance. Strong coordination with government customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders is essential. Accountabilities:

• Support acquisition planning and execution in alignment with program objectives, government requirements, and technical priorities.
• Coordinate business operations activities that enable technical program execution, including milestone support, resource planning, documentation, and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate acquisition, operational, and compliance documentation and supporting artifacts.
• Manage and coordinate facilities support activities to maintain continuity of operations for assigned programs and teams.
• Coordinate facilities requirements, schedules, stakeholders, and compliance activities across government and internal teams.
• Prepare for, support, and respond to audits and safety inspections by tracking requirements, evidence, findings, and corrective actions.
• Help ensure facilities, operational practices, and program activities comply with applicable safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective-action processes to address issues and strengthen long-term compliance.
• Operate within SCIF environments in accordance with established security requirements, access controls, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide subject-matter support related to SCIF operations, including visitor and escort requirements, access procedures, badge processes, handling protocols, and compartmented-area operations.
• Translate prototype development needs into actionable resource requirements, including facility needs, logistics, procurement support, utility considerations, and test-readiness requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical programs have the facilities, resources, services, and operational support required for prototype development and sustainment.
• Support risk management, compliance tracking, continuous improvement, and other operational activities within regulated environments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 20+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Significant experience working with U.S. Government organizations, including experience supporting senior-level government activities or serving as a government civilian at the GS-14 level or above or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with government facilities support processes, including work coordination, tracking, operational readiness, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or managing government or government-adjacent audits, safety inspections, compliance activities, and corrective actions.
• Proven experience working in classified environments with strong knowledge of SCIF requirements, security controls, access procedures, visitor and escort protocols, and compartmented operations.
• Technical or engineering background gained through formal education or substantial hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of prototype development lifecycles and the operational resources required to support planning, procurement, facilities, utilities, testing, readiness, and sustainment.
• Familiarity with government acquisition processes, including acquisition planning, requirements development, contracting support, administrative coordination, workflow management, and documentation control.
• Strong understanding of government processes and compliance requirements, combined with excellent documentation and evidence-management skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when working with classified information and sensitive stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior government leadership, contractors, technical teams, and internal program stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the technical curiosity to connect engineering and prototype requirements to business operations and resource planning.
• Preferred experience supporting technical program offices or Intelligence Community mission partners involved in rapid prototyping and iterative engineering initiatives.
• Successful completion of required background and drug screening checks.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and perform work requiring close, distance, and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
