Salary Range: $40 - $55 per hour, depending on experience

Our organization operates skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) that offer:

• Long-term care: For residents needing ongoing skilled support and compassionate daily assistance.
• Short-term rehabilitation: For patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
• Collaborative care: An interdisciplinary team approach involving nursing, therapy, and medical staff working in unison.
• Diverse patient population: Including individuals with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs.

The patient mix may vary slightly by facility. As a therapy professional, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve functional improvements and enhance their quality of life in a supportive, patient-focused setting.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) delivers direct rehabilitation services in speech therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

• Graduation from an accredited speech therapy program (minimum MS or MA in SLP)
• ASHA certification (CCCs) OR eligibility for a 9-month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to obtain ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meet ASHA credentialing criteria. Must maintain ASHA credentials once achieved.
• Current registration/licensure in the applicable state, with an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• One year of experience preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• CPR certification required upon hire or to be obtained during orientation, with ongoing maintenance of certification during employment.

• Engage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively address patient needs.
• Exhibit proper body mechanics at all times.
• Demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Familiarity with practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing operations in post-acute care facilities.
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Perform competently in all required areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and others.
• Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.
• Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
• Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training.

• Establish, assess, and adjust realistic, measurable, and functional goals.
• (SLP CCC only) Oversee and evaluate care provided by SLP CFYs.
• (SLP CFY only) Follow speech therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an SLP CCC, in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Utilize reasoning skills and sound judgment in all situations.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate productively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently throughout the workday.
• Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language proficiently.
