Job Summary and Qualifications\n

\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre-Admission department plays a crucial role in ensuring patients are fully prepared for their upcoming procedures or admissions at the hospital. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments of patients’ medical histories, current health conditions, and specific needs prior to their scheduled admission. The RN will collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to gather necessary documentation, clarify patient concerns, and provide education regarding the upcoming procedures and any required preparations.

\n

Key responsibilities include performing physical assessments, reviewing lab results, obtaining consent forms, and educating patients and families on post-procedure care. Additionally, the RN will be responsible for identifying potential risks, addressing patient questions, and ensuring that all necessary pre-admission requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.

\n

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of patient care in an acute care setting, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. A collaborative mindset and attention to detail are essential in this role.

What qualifications you will need:\n

\n
• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) 
\n
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing 
\n
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 
\n
• 2 Years Med/Surg/Pre-Admission Outpatient Surgery Experience
