Position : General Assembler (Prefer Medical Assembly Exp) - Direct Send Location : Tempe, AZ Duration : 12 Months contract Total Hours/week : 40.00 pay range -$16-20/hr Shift Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm most of the time. Description Assy is small parts assembly. Assembling small catheter parts, medical device. Candidate with small parts assembly experience, microscope or inspection. Performs any combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices as well as setting up, operating, performing maintenance on and troubleshooting equipment. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Able to work without defined SOP's or SOP's in progress. Adheres to quality guidelines. The Most Important Aspects Of These Positions Are small parts assembly microscope work cleanroom experience manufacturing/assembly experience Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum One (1) to two (2) year of manufacturing assembly experience with small parts assembly experience, microscope or inspection. Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand. Ability to read, writes, interpret and comprehend specifications written in English and perform basic math calculations. Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as calipers, micrometers, rulers. Able to work with razor blades, tweezers and microscopes. Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis. Has good attention to detail. Clean room experiences preferred. Ability to get along with people and be able to work in a team environment. Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities. Physical Demand While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally the employee may be required to lift or move at least 25 pounds.
