POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER - Pathology - Wang Lab

A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Yingfei Wang in Departments of Pathology and Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study Alzheimer’s disease and neurodegeneration. Wang lab studies 1) oxidative stress / mitochondrial dysfunction-induced neurodegeneration and neuronal cell death in aging-related neurological diseases (Wang Y et al., Science, 2016; Liu S et al., Molecular Neurodegeneration, 2021; Zhou M et al., Nature Communications, 2025) and 2) role of PARPs and PARP-1-dependent cell death (PARthanatos) regulators in health and diseases (Yang M et al., NAR 2022; Wang Y et al., Nature Communications 2021; Ruan Z et al., Cell Mol Life Sci 2021; Wang Y et al., Molecular Psychiartry, 2022). Our goal is to understand neurodegeneration and cell death induced by brain injury, mitochondrial dysfunction and/or aging-related genome instability.
