Sales Account Manager - Semiconductor Test Products

Your Job As a Sales Account Manager - Semiconductor Test , you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships while driving revenue growth for Smiths Interconnect's Semiconductor Test products within an assigned territory. You will serve as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective customers, identifying opportunities to expand business, delivering customer-focused solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and business results. This role supports both local and globally managed accounts and requires a strong understanding of the semiconductor test market and technical sales processes. Our Team You will be part of a dynamic commercial organization that partners closely with Sales, Field Application Engineering, Customer Service, Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams. What You Will Do Develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned customers and key decision-makers, serving as the primary customer contact within the region. Develop and execute account plans that support revenue growth, customer retention, and long-term customer satisfaction. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and through new customer acquisition efforts. Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics. Promote and sell Smiths Interconnect Semiconductor Test products and capabilities throughout the assigned territory. Work closely with Field Application Engineering and Customer Service teams to ensure successful delivery of products and services while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to identify customer needs and influence new product roadmaps, development efforts, product launches, and customer adoption strategies. Coordinate with other Semiconductor Sales Managers to ensure a consistent, efficient, and cost-effective response to customer requirements. Manage the sales pipeline, regional forecasts, and account activity within CRM systems while maintaining high-quality customer and opportunity data. Prepare regional revenue forecasts and support budget planning activities. Develop, maintain, and report key performance indicators related to sales effectiveness, business growth, and customer satisfaction. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements in accordance with company policies and business objectives. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, emerging technologies, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities. Develop executive-level relationships and facilitate engagement between customer leadership and Smiths senior management. Resolve customer concerns and escalation issues as necessary to maintain strong customer relationships. Prepare and deliver presentations, business reviews, forecasts, and strategic updates to customers and leadership teams. Support trade shows, technical conferences, industry events, and other business development activities. Achieve or exceed sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and strategic growth objectives. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of direct field sales, account management, business development, or customer-facing commercial experience. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and develop customer intimacy. Proven ability to develop, negotiate, and close complex technical sales opportunities. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to absorb, understand, and communicate technical information. Experience managing multiple accounts, priorities, and projects simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems. Ability to analyze business data and develop actionable sales strategies. Highly organized with strong planning and time management skills. Ability to travel up to 50%. What Will Put You Ahead Experience in the Semiconductor Test industry. Strong knowledge of semiconductor test applications, technologies, and market dynamics. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in technical or engineered product environments. Experience influencing product roadmaps and supporting new product development initiatives. Experience negotiating strategic partnerships and long-term commercial agreements. Knowledge of value-based selling methodologies. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms. Strong financial acumen with experience preparing forecasts, budgets, and business cases. Experience supporting trade shows, technical conferences, and industry events. Experience in electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, defense, medical devices, or other highly technical manufacturing industries. For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
