Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory NurseWe are seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse, sometimes referred to as a Cardiac RN or Cath Lab RN. Critical Care RN with experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Room (ER) or Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVIC) are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Assess patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures (Pre-Procedure Preparation)Assist cardiologists during procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiological studies, and other cardiac interventions (Intra-Procedure Assistance)Monitoring patient post-procedure for complications, provide post-procedure instructions, and ensuring patient stability before discharge or transfer to another unitOperate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the catheterization lab, such as hemodynamic monitors and other diagnostic toolsQuickly respond to any emergencies or complications that arise during procedures, such as arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, or bleedingAccurately document all aspects of patient care, including pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure details, and post-procedure outcomesStay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac care and catheterization techniquesQualificationsBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred. 2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required. 3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required. 4.
