Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Senior Business Systems Analyst

A healthcare payer client is seeking a hands-on Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a large-scale, multi-year healthcare platform transformation. This role will analyze current-state systems and processes, translate business needs into system and functional requirements, and help define future-state solutions as the organization transitions to a new platform. This is not a traditional BA role. The ideal candidate has direct experience with major system migrations, implementations, or data conversions and can independently bridge business requirements with technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities to improve or redesign legacy processes.
Independently investigate issues and present solution options, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
Analyze current-state systems, workflows, processes, and system logic to define future-state requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed system and functional requirements for technical teams.
Perform data mapping, conversion analysis, source-to-target mapping, and fit-gap analysis.
Develop process flows, system diagrams, workflows, and requirements documentation.
Partner with business stakeholders, architects, technical teams, and implementation partners.
Remain hands-on in the detailed analysis and documentation throughout the transformation.
