Job Title: Balloon Catheter Assembly Technician (Start ASAP!!!)

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling balloon catheters in a cleanroom environment using microscopes, tweezers, and other precision hand tools. The person in this position builds and bonds components, prepares products for shipment, and ensures all work is accurately documented in production records and internal systems to support regulatory requirements and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble balloon catheter products in a cleanroom environment following established procedures and quality standards.
• Use microscopes, tweezers, and other small hand tools to perform detailed, precise assembly tasks on medical device components.
• Complete UV bonding and curing of components to ensure secure and reliable assemblies.
• Prepare packaging for shipment, including labeling, sealing, and verifying product information for accuracy.
• Perform inventory control activities related to materials, components, and finished goods.
• Label products and components clearly and accurately according to internal and regulatory requirements.
• Record all work performed on travelers and within internal systems to maintain complete and accurate production documentation.
• Collaborate closely with an R&D technician to build balloon catheters for FDA trials and support ongoing development activities.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to help refine and improve assembly procedures and processes.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cleanroom protocols to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a high level of hand dexterity and attention to detail to ensure consistent, high-quality assemblies.
• Support continuous expansion and scaling of production as the facility grows.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of experience building catheters, preferably balloon catheters.
• At least 1 year of experience working under a microscope for detailed assembly work.
• Demonstrated experience in medical device assembly or similar cleanroom assembly environments.
• Proficiency using microscopes, tweezers, and small hand tools for precision assembly tasks.
• Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills for handling small components.
• Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment while following GMP and cleanliness protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to document work and collaborate with team members.
• Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to evolving processes in a growing operation.
• Ability to provide constructive input and advice to help develop and improve assembly procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with balloon catheter assembly is highly preferred.
• Experience in medical or medical device assembly is beneficial.
• Comfort working with documentation systems, travelers, and inventory tracking tools.
• Interest in supporting FDA trials and working within a regulated medical device environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, "start up" style setting within an established organization.
• Collaborative mindset and openness to working closely with R&D and production teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shoreview, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.60/hr.
