Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution required
• Hold a fully licensed SW or MSW Limited License; must possess LARA license
• One of the following credentials: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP)
• Comfortable working onsite and engaging with students in both group and one-on-one sessions
• Previous experience supporting special education populations in schools is highly preferred
• Willingness to provide official university transcripts
• Assignment runs August 17, 2026 – June 11, 2027; 35 hours per week

Core Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, and evaluate social, emotional, and behavioral needs for special education students
• Develop and implement intervention and behavior management plans in collaboration with educators and administrators
• Offer individual and group counseling services to help students overcome emotional and social obstacles
• Serve as case manager for students requiring layered support, ensuring service coordination
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student assessments
• Provide outreach to families, assist with school engagement, and conduct home visits where beneficial
• Uphold mandated reporting responsibilities and deliver crisis intervention as necessary
