Inside Sales Representative – Ready Mix Concrete

As an Inside Sales Representative , you'll be the front line for customers ordering ready mix concrete. You'll take orders, provide pricing and product guidance, coordinate with dispatch, and make sure customer commitments are entered accurately and communicated clearly.

This is a fast-paced role where accuracy, responsiveness, and customer service directly impact the success of the operation.

What You'll Do

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls
• Take and accurately enter concrete delivery orders
• Provide pricing for COD customers
• Recommend appropriate products for customer applications
• Identify customer needs and ask the right clarifying questions
• Upsell value-added products when appropriate
• Schedule orders and coordinate commitments with the dispatch team
• Enter customer changes accurately and promptly
• Provide sales support to existing and new customers
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
• Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally
• Maintain accurate customer and order information
• Meet individual and team performance objectives
• Participate in new initiatives and projects

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure
• Basic computer proficiency, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
• Ability and willingness to learn company-specific software and processes
• Ability and willingness to learn ready mix concrete products and applications

Preferred

• Associate's degree
• Ready mix concrete or construction industry experience
• Knowledge of local market geography or experience with mapping software
• Previous inside sales, customer service, dispatch, or order-entry experience
• Spanish/English bilingual skills
