About the Role We are seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to own core accounting operations for a fast-growing, $50MM promotional products company. This role leads the month-end close, QBO reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, commission reporting, and serves as the primary liaison for ERP/CRM system integration with QBO and the annual CPA review. Responsibilities The Month-End Masterpiece: Own the full month-end close cycle, including accruals, prepaids, amortization, and insightful variance analysis. Ledger Leadership: Manage QBO reconciliations (bank, credit card, AP/AR, inventory) and post clean, GAAP-compliant journal entries. Tech & System Architecture: Serve as the primary liaison for our ERP/CRM integration with QBO. You’ll optimize data flows, troubleshoot syncs, and ensure seamless order-to-cash mapping. Growth Metrics & Comms: Run the monthly commission reporting ecosystem based on sales activity and margin thresholds, and build ad-hoc financial reports for leadership. Audit & Strategy: Lead the charge for our annual CPA review—preparing schedules, managing auditor relationships, and continuously strengthening our internal controls. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to bridge data gaps and improve overall company efficiency. Qualifications Educated & Driven: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA designation (or being actively on the CPA track) is a major plus. Experienced: 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience. If you have a background in manufacturing, distribution, or promotional products, you’ll jump straight to the front of the line. Tech-Forward: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a knack for working with ERP/CRM integrations. You actually enjoy wrangling and analyzing large data sets. GAAP Guru: Deep understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and complex inventory costing. An Excellent Communicator: Comfortable translating complex financial data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams and external auditors alike. Required Skills Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online. Experience with ERP/CRM integrations. Strong analytical skills. Preferred Skills Background in manufacturing, distribution, or promotional products. CPA designation or actively on the CPA track.
