Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose Provide leadership, planning, coordination, development, and coaching for the multi‑skilled, multi‑disciplinary Mechanical Reliability Teams. The incumbent will manage site‑wide Mechanical Reliability, Maintenance, and Construction processes to achieve maximum safe, economical reliability of operating equipment and related process systems. This role will ensure that site maintenance services and contractor contracts are cost‑effective, reliable, and compliant with regulations and company standards. Main Tasks And Responsibilities Coach, mentor, and lead the Mechanical Reliability Teams in maintaining and continuously upgrading PPM programs and overseeing the Mechanical Integrity program site‑wide. Serve as the primary contact and PPR for managing the Site Contract Maintenance & Construction contract, ensuring effective utilization and cost control of contractor services. Audit team contributions and performance to meet business needs and ensure compliance with government regulations, industry, and company standards. Monitor technical growth, provide necessary training, and allocate resources to meet site priorities. Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis on mechanical non‑conformances and use findings to improve site processes and inspection systems. Champion the mechanical integrity element within the site Process Safety Management Process. Lead and mentor a strong Safety Program, actively seeking ways to improve and promote safe work habits. Participate in the Site Fixed Budget Process to include all Maintenance and Mechanical Reliability projects. Maintain a qualified Mechanical Reliability staff and administer appropriate policies and procedures, coordinating with other site leadership for effective resource allocation. Ensure Mechanical Reliability performance measures demonstrate success in achieving the site strategy and objectives. Lead Mechanical Teams in developing and monitoring quality system processes. Perform other job duties as assigned. Key Interactions Internal: All site leaders and team leaders regarding Mechanical Reliability, significant process safety, mechanical reliability, and manufacturing issues; all levels of site management. External: Vendors and suppliers of outside services, and the site contractor contact. Notable Working Conditions Primarily office work with occasional chemical plant field exposure. Approximately 5% travel required. Education Requirements BS Degree or equivalent experience. Language Requirements English. Minimum Requirements Approximately 10 years of combined Leadership experience in Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational functions. Multi‑group supervisory experience in Maintenance, Operations, Maintenance Engineering, Technical. Competencies And Skills Knowledge and experience in Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance. Good oral and written communication skills. Understanding of continuous process improvement tools and processes. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a continuously changing environment. Capability to work and interface well with all levels on site. Knowledge of site processes and interrelationships of various manufacturing services. Familiarity with site vision and strategy. Familiarity with site and Mechanical Reliability.
