Accounting Assistant

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for a national title insurance company based in Dixon



Job Overview: We are looking for an Accounting Assistant I with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of accounting and administrative functions to support department operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to multitask, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.



Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming emails and process a variety of requests across multiple functions.
• Research trust reconciliations top sheets and process necessary corrections.
• Index daily bookkeeping records and miscellaneous accounting documents.
• Perform bookkeeping audits.
• Prepare and complete monthly reporting requirements.
• Assist with additional accounting, administrative, and operational tasks as assigned.
• Support departmental needs and contribute to process improvements when appropriate.
• Perform revenue and miscellaneous reconciliation tasks.
• Conduct remote deposit transactions.
• Complete additional accounting tasks as needed.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or office environment preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience performing administrative support duties.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Minimum high school diploma required.
