Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a travel assignment. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various medical and surgical units.

Shift Information

Type: 12-hour night shifts (1845 to 0715)
Schedule: 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
Note: There is no guarantee of hours

Licensure Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid Hawaii State RN license by the start date of the assignment. If not currently licensed in Hawaii, candidates must apply for licensure upon acceptance of the offer. Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in various units, including Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular Units
Float between medical and surgical units as needed
Utilize Meditech EMR and other equipment such as pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes

Qualifications

Experience: 2-10 years in a nursing role
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Preferred Certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios

Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights
Laulima Unit: 1:6
Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4 (may vary due to unexpected leaves)

Orientation and Training

Orientation will be provided for each unit to prepare the nurse for their specific responsibilities.

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire is required; clean scrubs must be worn at all times.

Candidates must arrive on the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on the following Friday. Please only accept the start date if you can comply with this requirement.
